Lawn Types
1) Wintergreen
Ideal for a home or rental property
Characterised by a dark very fine leaf, this is the most popular hybrid couch in the Perth region. Amazingly once established, Wintergreen will come back even if it is not watered over summer. The thickness of roll on is 18mm.
2) Soft Leaf Buffalo (Velvet)
Ideal for family environments
Characterised by a soft, velvet green lush texture which retains its colour in part shade and over winter. A non-invasive lawn perfect for children and families. Thickness of roll on is 35mm.

Research shows the Velvet Buffalo is the best lawn type compared with other buffalos, for keeping their colour and for resistance to stress. Be careful, other heavily advertised buffalos did not rate as highly as The Velvet Buffalo.
3) Original Common Buffalo
Ideal for tougher conditions- front yards and verges
The toughest buffalo lawn on the market, the original common buffalo will grow over couch and soft buffalo lawns but is still non-invasive to your garden beds. This lawn is very hard wearing and lush, utilised in Australia for over 100 years. Joondalup Turf Farm is the only supplier of this lawn, north of Perth. Roll on thickness is 40mm.
4) Kikuyu Lawn
Ideal for ovals, large blocks and industrial estates
Characterised by light green succulent texture, this lawn is popular on the east coast and requires little maintenance. Once established this lawn type will survive on little water and has a natural ability to stop weeds taking hold. More people are starting to wake up to this lawn. Thickness of roll on is 25mm.
